Coach Ognjen (Ogi) brings a very dynamic European perspective on youth development to our team of coaches.  He enjoyed success as a player at an early age in his native home of Bosnia as a member of the Junior and Youth Bosnian Basketball National Teams from 1997 to 2002.  In 1998 he was the recipient of the “Best Young Basketball Player” award from the Bosnia media.  Throughout his distinguished playing career at the college and professional ranks he continued to rack up accolades many of which recognized him for his exceptional shooting and defensive abilities.


Coach Ogi was the recipient of a basketball scholarship at Cheyney University in Pennsylvania, USA where he was a two-sport athlete representing the school in Track & Field as well.  During his time at Cheyney he was the recipient of many sports and academic awards and honors. 


Coach Ogi’s professional basketball playing career landed him on many teams and countries across Europe including France, Germany, Bosnia, and Norway.  His playing career wrapped on in 2016 when he decided to pursue his second passion namely a career as a strength and conditioning coach which eventually lead him to relocate to Dubai.
