About the Coach:
Coach Esau’s basketball journey began in Baltimore, Maryland, where he grew up competing against some of America’s top talent, including Juan Dixon, Mark Karcher, and Kevin Braswell.
His on-court success earned him a basketball scholarship at Harford Community College in Aberdeen, Maryland. However, due to a career-ending injury, he was unable to continue playing—but his passion for the game never faded.

In 2004, he moved to the UAE, where he coached within various basketball programs and provided consulting services. During this time, he contributed to the development of players such as Hasan Atiya (University of Hartford) and Ahmed Ismail (University of Manhattan).
From 2007 to 2009, he supported the development of professional players at Sharjah Sports. In 2014, he played a key role in organizing the UAE’s first American high school invitational tournament, featuring future NBA talent such as Frank Jackson, Thomas Bryant, and Zach Norvell.\
In 2015, he led a U14 Dubai team to compete in the SWOOSH Basketball Tournament in Orange County, California, organizing university visits to USC, UCLA, Loyola Marymount, and Cal State Northridge.
In 2016, he traveled to Khartoum, Sudan, to scout and train emerging talent. One notable success story is Moses Bol, a 7-foot athlete who went on to earn a scholarship at the University of Central Florida.
