About the Coach:

Coach Kay competed at the NCAA Division I level with the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he was part of a conference championship team and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Following his collegiate career, he played professionally across Canada and Europe, gaining valuable international experience before transitioning into coaching.

Coaching Experience:

Coach Kay has built an impressive coaching résumé, most notably with Canada’s top AAU program, Canada Elite. During his time there, he contributed to the development of high-level athletes who progressed to the NBA, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Thon Maker, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker.

In 2016, he led the Canada Elite U14 boys team to a 2nd-place national finish at the Under Armour Tournament held at Disney World—one of the most competitive youth events in North America. His experience spans grassroots to elite-level development, working with athletes across multiple age groups and competitive levels.

Coach Kay’s coaching style blends high-level skill development with game-realistic training. He emphasizes attention to detail, strong fundamentals, and decision-making under pressure. His sessions are structured, competitive, and engaging, designed to challenge players while building confidence and consistency.
