Coach Kay played at the Division-1 NCAA level at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. During his university career he won one conference championship and reached the second round of the NCAA tournament. He later went on to play professionally in Canada and in Europe before entering coaching.
Coach Kay’s coaching career is also highlighted with successful accomplishments, most notably coaching with Canada’s number one AAU program “Canada Elite”. During this time he supported the development of star athletes such as Shai-Gilgeous Alexander (OKC Thunder), Thon Maker (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Nickeil Alexander (NO Pelicans). In 2016 he coached the Canada Elite U14 boys to 2nd place nationally (USA) in the Under Armor tournament at Disney World.
Fun Fact: Coach Kay was hired by Nike to run skills camps for NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto, Canada in 2016.
